Shipping Policy
Processing times, carriers, tracking, costs, and what to do when a parcel goes wrong.
1. Who ships your order
Each item is made and shipped by the independent Seller who listed it. If your order contains items from more than one shop, they ship separately and arrive at different times, each with its own tracking.
2. Processing time
Processing time is how long a Seller needs to make and pack your item before it leaves the workshop. It is shown on the listing and starts the business day after your payment clears. Handmade and made-to-order pieces usually take longer than ready-to-ship stock.
Delivery estimates shown at checkout are the processing time plus the carrier's transit estimate. They are estimates, not guarantees.
3. Shipping methods and cost
Shipping options and prices are set by the Seller and shown before you pay. Some shops offer free shipping above a threshold. Where a Seller offers local pickup, the meeting details are arranged through platform messages after the order is confirmed.
4. Tracking
When a label is created you receive a tracking number by email and in your account. Tracking can take up to 24 hours to show movement after the label is made — a label created is not the same as a parcel collected.
5. Addresses, delays and undeliverable parcels
Check your shipping address before paying. Once a label is created the address usually cannot be changed. If you spot a mistake, message the Seller immediately.
If a parcel is returned to the Seller because the address was wrong or incomplete, because delivery was refused, or because it went unclaimed, the Seller may re-ship it once you pay postage again, or refund the item price minus the original shipping.
Carrier delays, weather, strikes, and customs holds are outside the Seller's control. We ask Sellers to help you trace a parcel, but a carrier delay alone is not grounds for a refund until the parcel is treated as lost.
6. Lost and damaged parcels
A domestic parcel is generally treated as lost when tracking has not updated for 20 business days; for international shipments, 40 business days. At that point contact the Seller and, if needed, open a case with us.
If your item arrives damaged, photograph the item and the packaging as you received them and contact the Seller within 7 days. Keep the packaging: carriers usually require it to assess an insurance claim.
7. International orders, duties and taxes
For international deliveries, the recipient is the importer of record and is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees charged by the destination country. These are not included in the price you pay at checkout and are not refundable by us if a parcel is refused.
8. Help
If a shipment goes wrong and the Seller is not responding, write to support@craftrader.com with your order number.
